Paola Lesina is a Berlin-based cross-media artist whose work explores the vast potential of sound as a
medium for connection, transformation, and dialogue. Moving seamlessly between the nuanced improvisation of experimental music and the structured language of movement composition, her practice inhabits the space where intuition meets form. Drawn to the openness and unpredictability of sound, she creates environments where spontaneous interaction—with both space and audience—becomes central.

Lesina’s recent explorations investigate the relationships between sound and architecture, the presence and motion of the performer’s body, and the fluid intersection of sonic and physical gestures. Her work invites shared experiences, crafting moments of collective resonance through improvisation and chance-driven processes.

Deeply informed by archival impulses and intentional minimalism, Lesina weaves together found sounds, field recordings, daily sketches, and prose to build fleeting, atmospheric compositions. In these pieces, voice and environment blur, leaving behind ephemeral traces rather than fixed meanings. Her process embraces fragmentation and intuitive discovery as tools for navigating memory, place, and identity.

She has performed at renowned venues such as Café OTO and Club to Club Festival, and her work has been featured on platforms including Infant Tree, Objects & Sounds, and Falt Records, with radio appearances on Hong Kong Community Radio and Kiosk Radio.
